What We Teach

ASANAS
An Asana is any comfortable steady posture ie. “Sthiram Sukham Asanam” which is the definition given in the Yoga Sutras. Some of these basic asanas are excellent for enhancing health and flexibility : Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana), Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I), Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana), Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana), Bow Pose (Dhanurasana), Dancer Pose (Natarajasana), Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana), Butterfly Pose (Baddha Konasana)
PRANAYAMA
Pranayama is a very subtle energizing technique through certain focussed breathing patterns. Prana means life force or the vital force and Ayama means channelizing or control. Very difficult to explain the practice one has to experience under proper guidance.


BANDHAS, MUDRAS, KRIYAS
Mudras, bandhas, and kriyas are Tantric tools that enable the Shakti, or individualized or differentiated energy to its source the absolute energy or pure undifferentiated energy.
VINYASAS
A vinyasa is a smooth transition between asanas in styles of modern Ashtanga yoga. Suryanamaskar can be considered as a common Vinyasa practice though it is an ancient traditional practice.


BREATHING EXERCISES
Yoga breathing exercises builds strong, healthy lungs and therapeutic for respiratory ailments, they strengthen the respiratory system.
Relaxation Techniques
Traditionally we have Savasana as the relaxation technique. Now for the requirements of our times various relaxation techniques have evolved like Instant Relaxation Technique (IRT), Quick Relaxation Technique (QRT) , Deep relaxation technique (DRT) , Cyclic Meditation, Mind Sound Resonance Technique (MSRT) and Yoga Nidra.


Patanjali Yoga Sutras
The Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali are a collection of 196 Sanskrit sutras on the theory and practice of yoga. Without the basic experience of Yoga and meditation it is very difficult to comprehend the sutras. They will all look like some fancy thoughts and will go above the head. They contain the essence of Yoga philosophy and techniques to understand ones mind for preparation towards higher dimensions of knowledge and meditation.

Our Instructors

S. Chandramouli
S.Chandramouli is the Founder & Director of “The Life Vision Academy” (Yoga and Wellness Center), Chennai, India. He has been teaching yoga since 1997 in India, US, UK and Germany. He has studied advanced yoga courses in Sivananda and also has a Masters in Yoga from SVYASA. At a young age of 25, he was one of the founding members and the First President of the American Hindu Association, Madison, USA. In recent times, he designed and developed a mobile application called DHARANA based on the Patanjali Yoga Sutras to measure the quality of focus and state of the mind during Mantra Japa. It was well received in the Yoga community and was published in Yoga Sudha magazine of SVYASA in 2017.
Naresh Kumar Patel
Naresh Kumar Patel is a young and dynamic yoga teacher who has Master’s in Yoga from SVYASA. He has been the associated with teaching in The Life Vision Academy after his graduation in 2017. Then in 2018 he took up a specific assignment for a year which required travel to the far east and he successfully completed many yoga programs. He is a very passionate yoga teacher and ensures that the students try and get the best in his class. He loves chants and singing, his simple melodious chants are well appreciated by our members.


Anita Raghu
Dynamic yoga teacher with good experience in Ashtanga and having masters in Yoga from the University of Madras. She works closely with corporates, conducts health workshops and has won a lot of appreciation for her therapy sessions through our well researched modules specific to handling common problems encountered by women today like PCOD, infertility and other similar disorders.
